Simon Says "Splish Splash I Was Taking A Bath"

"... long about a Saturday night. Rub-a-dub, we were splashing in the tub ... " Here I am at MiMi for another sleepover. As you can see, I don't really mind getting a bath! The weekend was full of wedding parties and fun, in spite of a boatload of rain. I had some fun time on Saturday at Oma and PopPop's and my Auntie Julia came to play too! Our social calendar won't be this full for quite some time now, but we are looking forward to some rest and still struggling to ditch the colds. Oh yea, poor Mommy, it hit her over the weekend. Enough of this sharing right?

Simon Says "MiMi and I Perform"

MiMi says you may wish I was clapping louder to drown out her singing, but I think we're going to be a hit! My sleepover was a huge success. After dropping off to sleep last evening she didn't hear from me again until 6:05AM!

Simon Says "Here Comes The Bride!"

This is Mommy's best friend, Beth, and in two days she is getting married to Daddy's best friend, Pat! Today is the start of some fun-filled days for everyone. MiMi has me for two overnights and Oma and PopPop have some special one-on-two time with me on Friday and Saturday too! Wonder if my one true love is already out there in the world for me to meet? It is fun to try to imagine it when you're a baby like me. Maybe Beth and Pat could have a little girl and we could fall in love!!! The stuff of fairy tales, but who knows?! So here's best wishes to the new Mr. & Mrs. and may you be as happy as Mommy and Daddy!

Simon Says "I'm All Stuffy ... If I Could Talk, You'd Hear It!"

The common cold sounds so non-threatening, but boy is it a mess! MiMi would like to be able to just attach a kleenex to my upper lip ... I'm not too happy to see her coming at me with one in hand. But MiMi talked to my friend Harrison's Mommy yesterday and he is really sick with high fevers and so we are reminding ourselves how "lucky" we are ... runny noses and all! Hope you are doing well ... lots of rest and lots of drinking bottles ... and lots of get-well hugs ... that's my prescription for now!

Simon Says "Lions, Tigers and Bears ....... Oh My"

We had the best time on Saturday. We went to meet up with one of Mommy and Daddy's best friends, Libby ... she lives in Alexandria ... that's near DC and we took off and spent the day at the National Zoo! It was a gorgeous fall day and we had a blast! MiMi doesn't have the picture, but Libby bought me the best hat! It's a Panda hat! Hey, wait, MiMi will go "borrow" it from FB. Don't you just imagine you're looking at a little baby Panda? The little tiger got to come home with me too. Lucky me, right?! MiMi is almost over the crummy cold, I'm still a little stuffy, we shared it with Daddy, and now Mommy is beginning to think she's joining us all! Well, next weekend is a full social calendar for Mommy and Daddy ... two of their best friends, Pat and Beth, are getting married and my Mommy and Daddy are part of the wedding! There's no time for the sickbed, so Mommy hopes to rebound quick. Oma, PopPop and MiMi will get lots of extra time with me!

Simon Says "Really, Is This The Look for Me?"

We have been having some pretty typical fall-like weather, but while we were out shopping over the weekend, Mommy was looking for just the right winter hat for me. So what do you think? Is this it? My MiMi has come down with a cold. She prides herself in how healthy she usually stays, but now she needs some TLC ... I will be dodging the germs and she'll be washing her hands every five minutes ... she says the only thing worse than having an annoying cold, is for me to have one too!

Simon Says "Loving My Oma"

My Oma and I just can't keep our hands off each other ... it's a way to explore and get to know one another ... and she's really more gentle than I am because sometimes I just don't know my own strong grasp or that hair can come out in clumps! But it's all about loving every little moment together! When she has us all over for dinner she lets me sit right up on top of her dining room table, right next to her. One day when I am big and grown-up we'll laugh about that and try to imagine it so it's a good thing my MiMi took a picture to help us look back and see how we only had eyes for each other at that moment. You can see it too, can't you ... I love my Oma.

Simon Says "Another Way To Look At The World"

I am just beginning to get steady on these legs of mine and the world looks a bit different rom way up here! [Please note that my temp typist (MiMi) let me get a little too close to her computer the other day and in my excitement, I grabbed the keyboard and came away with the letter "F" and knocked the letter "G" off kilter too ... so by way o explanation, you may see words where MiMi has missed going back and banging hard enough to get the "F" or the "G" to appear - whoops, sorry MiMi]. I know I told you about the washout on Friday, well it continued all day Saturday too ... soggy! But our Sunday was beautiful & sunny and Daddy, Mommy and I had a great weekend. MiMi and I don't have big plans but we'll get around town on some errands and I'll report on anything interesting that we see.

Simon Says "Mother Nature Had Other Plans!"

Well, the plans for today's Turn Around Cruise had to be cancelled due to the long-awaited rain. The forecasters had been saying for several days that we should expect it, and sadly it came today. We hope we'll have a report on another day onboard the Constellation, but that remains a BIG question. MiMi and I already had nearly two hours in the car this morning taking a good friend to the airport. So actually it will feel good to hunker down inside. Oma is going to come for a visit this afternoon so there's a treat to look forward to!

Simon Says "What? The Ship Is Leaving Without Me?"

Today the USS Constellation leaves its dock and travels down to Ft. McHenry and back so that it can be "turned around" ... they call this fun day the Turn Around Cruise and you can only go if you get an invitation. MiMi and Mommy are going and Daddy will be on board too helping to keep things ship-shape for everyone. MiMi wanted to take me too but it seems I am too young. Rats! Well, something else to look forward to as I am growing bigger each day. It's a Friday again and don't we all love this day of the week?! Have a great weekend!

One or two ... or if there's a mirror across from you, maybe three! Smiles seem to spread quickly and they make me feel good so let's all smile BIG today! This is one of those fun long weekends when we get an extra day to play together. Yesterday was my Daddy's birthday and this is a picture of what I got for him. I'm just checking it out to make sure it all works. Don't you think we'll have some fun times together in the workshop?! PopPop and Oma had a cookout for Daddy's birthday and Aunt Julia, MiMi, Aunt Kerrian, Susan, Johnny & Gloria all came to help him celebrate. Do you know what he wanted for his birthday? Gifts for me!!! Super Dad! Enjoy your last official day of summer 2009! Maybe we'll get one more trip to the pool in for the year ... hope you'll have fun in the sun too!

Simon Says "Look Who I Found In The Gardens"

Remember I told you before that MiMi and I go into Towson on Thursdays for the Farmers Market. Well, we timed it right today. It was over lunch so PopPop and Oma could run over to meet us for a little visit! I hadn't seen them for a couple of weeks and we needed to catch up on snuggles. This weekend we'll spend hanging out around here and doing the things we enjoy doing like walks and errands and visiting friends and family. We're looking forward to "Home Sweet Home"! I hope you will find fun things to do too.

Simon Says "September Is A Beautiful Month!"

Look at the beautiful day ... this was September 1st and each day this week has been just as beautiful. If they're right, the guy who tells us the weather on TV says we'll have this all the way through next weekend. It's thrilled MiMi ... our walks are longer ... and we can just sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds. Hey, Aunt Lauren, look ... behind me across the water is where you go to work sometimes. I can't wait til you come back again. Maybe you can come to enjoy September with us ... can you bring Rama? The other BIG news is that my Uncle Charley is moving to a little red house that is very close to all of us. It'll be hard to give up Boring, MD, but we'll try to keep him bored here in Towson! It's going to be great to see him around town!

Simon Says "Just Got Back From a Job Interview"

MiMi and I met Aunt Kerrian this morning after she said that a trip down to the waterfront should be on the schedule. We walked to the boat-building shop (and surprised Daddy) and I tried to show them that I was ready to join the crew!
